Fallen Soldiers

I'm really getting tired of hearing on the radio and the news all of these pointless things about celebrities, I can honestly say that none of it really effects my life because it's mostly just pointless information about famous people doing stupid things for media attention and then everyone looks up to them as if they're some kind of hero.
What about the soldiers in Afghanistan fighting for freedom everyday? Fighting the terrorism so that we can sleep in peace at night. We never hear about them,    they're the real heroes and the people we should look up to. We rarely hear of the fallen soldiers, the ones that GAVE THEIR LIVES for US! I would much rather hear about these things because they truly do matter.
It just bothers me that Miley Cyrus's new hair cut is more important to the media than a soldier dying for us. It doesn't seem right, I'm working on a video for my YouTube account that is a Tribute to our soldiers and I will post it on my blog when it is finished.

I agree with this 100%,  I don't want to work for somebody else's food, shelter, and health care when they are perfectly capable of going out and working for it themselves and then having to watch them complain or about how its not good enough. Or just let people sit around all day doing drugs because they know that they're gonna get that welfare check at the end of the week, I don't want to be an enabler, I don't want my hard earned money to go towards someone that is perfectly capable of earning their own way through life.

My grandparents, my parents, brothers and sisters, and some aunts and uncles have worked for everything they have and are happier with what they have because they worked for it, nothing was just handed to them, they struggled but in the end the struggle was worth it, knowing that they earned what they have is a lot more satisfying.

We all should think about this when we complain about the heat, yeah its hot, and yeah its miserable, but these guys chose to be miserable in the heat for each and every one of us.

Now That's the ______ Difference between Winning and Losing

This isn't just about football to me, I watch this when I need something to lift me up.
I heard it for the first time when I was working at Jimmy Johns, I was cutting up tomatoes before we opened.

I thought this was worth sharing...

The night before the burial of her husband 2nd Lt. James Cathey of the United States Marine Corps, killed in Iraq, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of “Cat”, and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept.

“I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it” she said.
“I think that’s what he would have wanted”.

Life Lately...

Me giving Baby Charlie a bottle at the park
Henry, Aunt Emily, Patrick

These are two of my three wonderful nephews. They are definitely going to be the hardest part of  leaving whenever I leave for the Air Force, knowing I won't get to see them everyday is going to be really hard.
It's crazy and it makes me feel old watching these two grow up. It seems like not so long ago, I got the little pink slip in Mr. Walkers Algebra class that said "Baby is here, everyone is doing okay," Now there are three of them and they laugh, they run around, they never stop talking, they fight, they call me by my name, and they're starting to do school lessons with grandma. (Well baby Charlie doesn't do all of this quite yet..)

Yesterday, my mom, my sister and me took the boys to Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio. Sauder Village is a historic village with buildings that you can go visit and learn about how life was for the first people to live in this country. We went through about every building, there are shops, school houses, trading posts, houses, farms and about everything you could imagine you would need in a town. There is a person in about every stop to tell you the history of it and what it was used for way back when. The boys seemed to enjoy themselves, I know I did.
I went to Sauder Village in fifth grade and liked it but I didn't pay attention to the history inside of it, going back yesterday I learned a lot about how things worked, it was really interesting.

Giants

Katy, Me, Grandma

This was in Florence, Italy. I know I posted about Florence awhile ago but I was going through some of my Facebook pictures and decided that Katy and I look like giants compared to my grandma. This was one of the best experiences of my life, I can't wait to go back someday.

Me! in Pisa, Italy. I miss Europe!

So much truth in this quote, I had to share it.

This is EXACTLY what I'm doing. :)

European Adventure June, 13th 2010 Die, France

These pictures are the trip from Entreveux, France to Die, France (dee). We pulled of the road in the mountains on our way to take some pictures with the mountians, there were huge rocks and boulders and it seemed like nothing was really holding them in place, it was really cool to experience because I had never been to the mountains before this.

This is a citadel in Die, we stayed at a campground not far from here. It wasn't as cool as the citadel in Entreveaux, this one had a lot of wear and tear and were weren't allowed to go inside it. Die really wasn't one of my favorite stops on our trip, it didn't seem like much of a tourist town and I really didn't know much about the things I saw when we were touring the city.

I thought this was really cool...
The WWII era is really one of my favorite's to learn and read about.
Everyone seemed so close, I mean I guess I really don't know but from what I've read about, our country really didn't seem to be so divided then, seemed like everyone was there for eachother, but I saw these pictures on Tumblr and thought it was really cool, these two had never met.

I wanna live in a place like that someday.

This is so true.
Everyone is trying so hard to be "original" but they all just end up looking the same.
People think they're "original" but they are just copying societies current image of original, so in the end, we all just look the same and everyone is becoming further from original then they were before.

Everybody is the same because they are afraid to be different, people say they're different and that they are expressing themselves when in reality they aren't really doing anything that out of the blue. When people are trying to be different they're really just being the same as everyone else in fear of what others will say... nobody actually steps out and does something different.

I really don't know if this makes sense but its the only way I can word it.

There alot of things that I would do, but number one,
I would probably run for President. Sounds cheesy.. I know
but if I couldn't fail... then why not? I see all the things that people
complain about that the President now and Presidents of the past have done
so maybe I would just do all the opposite?
